Assemblage

Art | Mixed Media

This is a collection of personal assemblage art—quirky, vintage-inspired pieces created by bringing together disparate objects. From forgotten junk and discarded tools to weathered boxes and antique hardware, each piece is constructed like a miniature shrine or diorama, evoking mystery, nostalgia, and a bit of whimsy.

This series came naturally after working on collages. I found myself collecting more than just paper ephemera—bits and bobs from estate sales, basement workshops, garage drawers—objects that might seem insignificant on their own but became something new when assembled with care and curiosity. I sold two of these works and decided to keep the remaining two. They’re among my favourite pieces to make, and I plan to return to this medium whenever time allows.
