Self-promotional Mailer

Graphic Design | DIY/Crafting

As a newcomer to Canada in 2013 with no local experience, I needed a way to stand out from a sea of resumes. So I designed and hand-crafted a self-promotional mailer to showcase not only my work, but also my dedication and craftsmanship. Each package included five machine-stitched booklets covering different design categories, plus a printed resume—all housed in a custom fabric envelope personalized with the recipient’s name using iron-on transfers. I only made seven copies, but they led to interviews with two creative directors, including the president of RGD at the time. The project was also featured in two international design books, a design magazine, and a design blog.
