The Hotel Saskatchewan
Logo design | Brand guidelines
The Hotel Saskatchewan is one of Canada’s grand railway hotels — a historic property known for its elegance, legacy, and refined sense of place. I was brought on to design a monogram-style logo that would reflect the hotel’s heritage while feeling fresh and timeless. Inspired by vintage signage and classic typographic forms, I created a custom “HS” mark that blends symmetry, grace, and subtle illustration. The result is a monogram that feels just at home on a letterpress menu as it does embroidered on a robe.
While the scope of the project remained focused on the identity system only, the client was thrilled with the outcome. Seeing the logo appear across materials — from keycards and candles to menus and uniforms — remains one of my quiet career highlights.
